The handle is not only beautiful, it has also great handling features. Both ends of the handle is made from curly birch, middle section is put together from layers of birch bark. Handle is treated with linseed oil, giving great feeling and grip also when wet.

Handle is treated with linseed oil, giving great feeling and grip also when wet. Handle design allows not only to be held in hand but also it may be used like a pen when more precise actions are required. This model is designed for hunters and is very carefully field tested in real action. Due it´s compact size, this beautiful knife comes easily along with all outdoor travelers. Carbon steel blade requires some attention, it must be cleaned and dried after every use, it may never be left in the sheat when wet. Thin layer of cooking oil gives good protection for it. The handle stays in perfect condition if it gets layer of linseed oil once a year. On the other hand, some care and attention gives excellent handling qualities, blade remains sharp and it is very easy to keep sharp.

Alfred Kosolas Pferde mussten ihre ganze Stärke aufbieten beim Ziehen des Schlittens, der mit einem Hammer von 5,000 kg beladen, unterwegs zu der Järvenpää Fabrik war. Die Jungen glaubten in ihrer Fantasie bereits das konstante Hämmern im Werk zu hören. Es war ein riesiger Vorschlaghammer, der aussah, wie ein großes Bügeleisen.
