Beef knife set has six beef knives, a separate holder and a bushel. Knives have stainless puukko steel blades, just slightly thinner than normal whittle knife has. The handle is a traditional whittle knife model called "Hookhead", which we started to make 1921. The handle is made from Finnish curly birch, treated with linseed oil.

A separate holder is made from Finnish birch plywood, also treated with linseed oil.

Whole set is wrapped together with a hand made bushel. It can be used to store knives but also makes beautiful bread basket etc on the dinner table. It has been made close in a village called Maalahti by Bo-Åke Ljungars. Edges are made from goat willow, the bottom is black alder and binding birch roots. Bushel is of course treated with linseed oil.

None of these should be machine washed! All parts should be carefully hand washed and dried.

The villagers and boys were amazed and in awe when a huge oddity rolled down the road in September, 1922. Alfred Kosola’s horses had to tax their strength when drawing a sleigh with an indenting hammer of 5.000 kilograms, along the snowless road to the Järvenpää’s factory. The cubs’ imagination really took over, when they began to hear a constant pounding from the factory. It was like an iron giant’s sledgehammer banging.
