The Härmä knife, black / brass
The Härmä knife, also known as Kaksneuvoonen, in black and brass
Among all the traditional models, the Härmä Knife, also known as Kaksneuvoonen, together with the Helavyö belt forms the Helahoito set, which is one of our most famous traditional combinations. This Härmä Knife model has a black painted curly birch handle with handmade engravings "tikkelöinti" in brass ferrules. The blade is polished carbon steel. The blade lengths are 10cm and 6cm. The sheath is very decorative, as for all traditional models.
The villagers and boys were amazed and in awe when a huge oddity rolled down the road in September, 1922. Alfred Kosola’s horses had to tax their strength when drawing a sleigh with an indenting hammer of 5.000 kilograms, along the snowless road to the Järvenpää’s factory. The cubs’ imagination really took over, when they began to hear a constant pounding from the factory. It was like an iron giant’s sledgehammer banging.
